If your keyword relates to a specific website (like your own), enter your website in the domain field. This will give you a more tailored report with data relevant to your domain.

Click "Search" to generate the keyword overview.

Now, for further analysis we need to export the Keyword analysis report. Click "Export to PDF" in the top right corner to download the report.

💡 Tip: To analyze multiple keywords at once, enter each keyword on a new line in the Semrush Keyword Overview tool. This displays key metrics for all keywords at once. Remember to download individual PDF reports for each keyword for detailed analysis with Claude.

Step 2: Analyze key metrics

Upload the downloaded Semrush PDF report on Claude and use this prompt to get a comprehensive overview of your keyword's performance:

Analyze the following metrics from the Semrush keyword report:

1. Search volume
2. Number of results
3. CPC (Cost Per Click)
4. Competition

For each metric:
1. State the value
2. Explain what it indicates about the keyword
3. Identify potential opportunities or challenges for SEO and PPC

Step 3: Visualize top phrase match keywords

To better understand the search landscape around your main keyword, let's visualize the top phrase match keywords:

Using the Phrase Match Keywords data from the Semrush report:
1. Create a simple bar chart showing the search volume for the top 5 phrase match keywords.

2. Briefly analyze the chart, noting:
a) How the search volumes of these related keywords compare to the main keyword
b) What these top phrase match keywords suggest about user search intent

3. Based on this data, suggest one content strategy idea to target these related keywords.

Step 4: Evaluate organic search results

Understanding the current top-ranking content is crucial for SEO strategy:

Examine the Keyword Research: Organic Results section of the report:

1. List the top 5 ranking pages and their URLs
2. Identify common patterns among these top-ranking pages (e.g., content type, domain authority)
3. Suggest 3 specific ways to optimize content to compete for top rankings based on these results
4. Analyze any non-commercial sites in the top results (e.g., Reddit, Quora) and explain their significance

💡 Tip: Pay close attention to the content format of top-ranking pages (e.g., listicles, how-to guides, product comparisons). This can give you insights into what type of content search engines consider most relevant for the given keyword, helping you structure your own content more effectively.

Step 5: Analyze ad copy

While our focus is SEO, understanding the PPC landscape can inform our content strategy:

Review the Keyword Research: Ad Copies section of the report:

1. List all the ad headlines and their corresponding URLs
2. Identify the top 3 themes or selling points emphasized in the ads
3. Suggest 3 ways to incorporate successful ad copy elements into organic content
4. Analyze how competitors are positioning their products/services in these ads
