Creating engaging visual content can be a breeze with the right tools. One tool in particular, Glif, makes creating shareable, visual content fun, easy, and collaborative. It’s a versatile, AI-powered platform that allows you to generate shareable, visual content with basic prompts.

In this tutorial, we’ll walk through creating custom memes, comics, and characters. Whether you're a content creator, marketer, or just someone who loves to create fun visuals, this tutorial will guide you through the process of using Glif’s AI to bring your ideas to life.

Generate a meme

Memes are a great way to capture attention and convey messages in a humorous and relatable manner. Glif makes this easy with its library of meme templates you can choose from to customize with your own messaging.

To get started, create a free Glif account, scroll down to the Memes section, and click on the Memes section title.

This will take you to the full library of meme templates. We’re going to select the “Domino Effect Meme” for our example.

Once a meme template is selected, you can enter a prompt to generate a customized version of the meme. The prompt form will be different for each meme template. For the domino effect template, all you need to do is enter the lower text of the meme.

Click “Run This Glif” and Glif will generate the upper text and add it to the meme template.

You can download the meme by hovering over it and clicking the download button in the top right corner.

💡 Tip: Glifs are public, so your Glif will be added to the public Glif library.

You can explore other memes of the same template in the library by scrolling down on the page.

Generate a comic

Glif also lets you generate comics from prompts in a whole host of different styles. To generate a comic, navigate back to the Glif homepage scroll down to the Comics section, and click the section title.

When you click on the Comics section header, you will be taken to the library of comic templates. Click on the “Comic Generator” template.

Then, you can enter your hero, style, and story/vibe of the comic in the left-side form.

Click “Run This Glif” and you will get a custom comic based on your prompts. You can download your comic by hovering over it and clicking the download button in the top right corner.

Generate a character

Glif also lets you create custom characters in many different styles. To do this, go back to the Glif homepage, scroll down to the Character Generators section, and click on the title of the section.

This will take you to the character generator template library. We’re going to go with the Twin Peaks Characters template.

Once your template is selected, you can describe your character and click “Run This Glif”.

Your custom character will be generated, which you can download by hovering over the image and clicking the download button in the top right corner.
